About
Gosser Marine creates welding procedures for metal fabricators. For maritime fabricators we have produced USCG, ABS, and DNV approved procedures. Historical Gosser Marine procedures are written to ASME section IX. New procedures are written to ISO 15614-1:2017 or AWS D1. Maritime approved procedures included Carbon Steel 0.25"-1" plate, .75"-8" tube and pipe; copper nickel .75"-4" tube and pipe; aluminum .5" plate, 4" pipe. AWS written procedures include carbon steel, aluminum, and aluminum bronze. Weld testing for these procedures included one or more processes (i.e. SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and, GTAW).
Gosser Marine restores and retromods classic cars as shop vehicles. Occasionally, these cars will be up for sale.
F. J. Gosser has 40 years experience in the metal fabrication trades including 22 years as a certified welding inspector under AWS. Currently working as a structural inspector to codes AWS D1.1, D1.8 and D1.5.
C. F. Gosser is a graduate student at WSU in the Material Science Engineering department, PhD anticipated in 2024. Volunteers with welding committees US TAG for ISO/TC 44/SC 10, Quality management in the field of welding and AWS D1L Subcommittee on Seismic Issues. Currently researching carbon steel arc welding and EBSD micro structures. Past experience includes: writing and conducting welding procedures since 2012; active in the welding community since 2008.
